Shortly after a report emerged detailing Cody Rhodes’ comments on feeling disrespected during his AEW exit, Matthew and Nicholas Jackson—better known as The Young Bucks—took to social media with a cryptic post that many fans believe is more than just coincidence.
“You know what hurts the most is the… the lack of respect. You know? That’s what hurts the most,” they wrote on X.
The message came not long after Cody’s interview on The Ringer podcast was published, where he opened up about leaving AEW and how it felt more personal than any issues he had with WWE.
“If I ever felt disrespected ever at WWE, that’s one thing. That’s a company that was built… that’s the Yankees. That’s the flagship of it all. Feeling disrespected at something I built with my friends. That we built. Feeling disrespected there, I wouldn’t stand for it.”
While Cody emphasized there’s still some love and respect between him and The Elite, he didn’t hide the fact that something broke along the way.
“There’s clearly bad blood, but there’s also clearly respect and love,” he said.
The Young Bucks’ post didn’t tag anyone, but fans were quick to connect the dots—especially given how close it followed the report’s release.
