Zilla Fatu’s been tearing it up in the indies and many people feel he definitely should join WWE soon. However, Fatu has now admitted he’s not really ready to go to WWE and become a part of the Bloodline yet.
While speaking to Chris Van Vliet, Zilla Fatu says his big goal is to join his family in WWE, but he hasn’t had a tryout yet. Right now, he’s focused on training, being patient, and taking time to figure out who he is in wrestling. He knows it will take time and practice, and he feels he’s in the right place for this stage of his career.
“Yes, the goal is to join my family in WWE — I would love to. I hope I’m on WWE’s radar. No sir, I haven’t had a WWE tryout yet. I’ve literally just been training, man, just being patient. I’m not in any rush to go anywhere. I have a long way to go, I’m still growing and trying to figure out who I am in the business. It’s gonna take time and repetition, but I think I’m right where I’m supposed to be right now.”
When asked about possibly joining The Bloodline on TV, Zilla admitted he’s not ready yet, even though he once thought he was. He says he’s still new to the business and needs more time to grow.
Fatu compared it to when he was in prison and waited for the right moment to change his life, he’ll make the move when he feels that same readiness. Until then he’s working hard as if WWE isn’t watching, confident that with patience and effort, he’ll get there. He believes his brand will keep getting stronger over time.
“No. I thought I was, but no. I still have more time to grow. I’m still green, so I’ve got a long way to go, man. I think when the timing is right and when I feel ready — just like when I was in prison and I was tired and needed to change my life — I’m waiting for that feeling. When that feeling pops up, that’s when I’m gonna start pushing for it. But right now, I’m being patient, just waiting, grinding, enjoying the process, and learning as I go. I’m working like WWE’s never had their eyes on me, and I think with that mindset, I’ll get there. I know I’m gonna be there. It just takes repetition, it takes time. Where I’m at today, my brand’s only gonna grow.”
This comes after Randy Orton recently told Zilla Fatu he would likely see Fatu soon. Regardless, it’s clear Zilla Fatu isn’t ready to go to WWE yet but it’s certain he will end up there one day, so it’s just a matter of time.
What do you think? Should WWE fast-track Zilla Fatu into The Bloodline, or is he right to wait until he feels fully ready? Sound off in the comments.
